Library Mission Statement
The mission of the library is to promote the love of reading and learning in students, to collaborate with staff to create authentic opportunities for learning, and to provide quality resources and materials.
The purpose of this website it to keep parents and students up to date about the Buffalo Library. Using this website will allow you to understand objectives and guidelines that are incoporated into student learning. The use of technology is very important; adding technology devices, programs, and applications will enhance student performance.

In-person Learning
Welcome back, we are glad that we have students in our school and especially our library...we have missed you. We will have normal library time with a A/B rotation, and students will be allowed to check out books. We are following American Library Association and Austin ISD protocol for safe library procedures for checking out/in library books.
We would like students and parents to feel comfortable with the technology and digital resources offered by Austin ISD. You can connect to the digital resource 3 ways:

MackinVia houses over 16,000 ebooks and digital resources for Austin ISD. Students access MackinVia through students portal. Mackin login is the same username (S, then ID number), password as student portal.

Happenings
3rd - 5th grade
Bluebonnet books are here; check out the great list of books. Read up to 5 books and vote on your favorite. You will turn in your votes before January 31st.
We will host a Scholastic Book fair, Game On, Reading to new Levels, September 25th-28th... check back for more information! Students can shop in person, on-line, and after school with parents. We encourage students to use e-wallets for convenient cash-free shopping.
